Why is it important to clean my scissors?

Scissors should be cleaned at the end of each day before they are stowed in their case. Chemicals used in certain hairstyles can make the blades dull. Hair and dirt remaining on the scissors can cause rust and pitting.

Clean your scissors with a damp cloth or washcloth. You should oil your scissors at the pivot point at least once a week.

How often should my scissors be serviced on average?

We recommend that all scissors used regularly should be serviced at least once a year. They must be cleaned, adjusted and balanced, even if they are still sharp.

Always use a qualified provider for this, as otherwise an expensive scissor could be destroyed.
